A man went to a doctor and told him that he felt so ill that he thought he should die. The doctor examined him thoroughly. ‘‘Do you smoke a great deal,” he asked the patient. “Never smoked in my life,” said the man. ‘A!” said the doctor, “then I suppose you are a little fond of your glass?” “I’m a life-long teetotaller," was the reply. ‘Keep late hours?” persisted the doctor. “No,” said the man, ‘in bed by ten every night.” “Then what do you want to live for?” asked the doctor.
