TENNIS DANCE

MEMORIAL CLUB GATHERING. There'was an attendance of 64 members and supporters of the Memorial Lawn Tennis Club at a most successful winding-up dance, held in the Savage Club rooms last night. The music was supplied by Mr Arnold Barnes, and Mr Dick Costello was an efficient M.C. A feature of the dance was the supper served by the ladies' committee, and donated by the president. The trophies won during the season were presented by the president, Mr J. T. Jameson, who in the course of his remarks congratulated the winners on their success. The trophy winners were:— Burridgc Cup (men's championship singles). Mr D. Leete; Hughes Cup (ladies' championship singles); Miss R Percy; Mills Cup (combined championship doubles); Mrs J. M. Jones and Mr Leo Connolly.
