TE WHARAU
OPENING OF GOLF SEASON CANADIAN FOURSOME PLAYED. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very enjoyable time was spent on Saturday last at the opening of the 1940 golf season. There was a good attendance of members and a number of visitors from other clubs. A Canadian foursome was won by Miss Bannister and J. Laing. The links are in good order and the prospects for the coming season look very bright. The next playing day will be on April 14 and a draw will be made at the clubhouse. Players are requested to note the alteration of playing days, and to make themselves conversant with the dates. It has been decided to hold the annual golf tournament on April 25, commencing at 9.30 a.m.
