Cooper’s newest screen venture reveals him as a homeless country boy who comes to a bi&city and is forced to seek his livelihood selling papers on a street corner. How he battles his way to the leadership of his newsboy pals, the Little Tough Guys, and proves his loyalty to the publisher of his paper, is said to be a stirring human document of a boy who has the courage to fight for his ideals. Among tne popular performers in the strong supporting cast are Edmund Lowe, as the city editor, Wendy Barrie as the girl he loves and Edward Norris, expert portrayer of gangster roles as the man who murdered Cooper's father. Samuel S. Hinds, who scored in Frank Capra’s “You Can’t Take it with You, is ideally cast as the kindly publisher who supports the “Newsboys’ Home./ The companion feature “23J- Hours Leave,” is a side-splitting comedy of army life, featuring James Ellison and Terry Walker and is one whirl of mirth from start to finish.
