REPLY TO GENERAL IRONSIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. BERLIN, April-10. Answering General Sir Edmund Ironside’s statement in his recentinterview that Germany possessed no officers who held a higher rank than captain in the last war. General von Brauchitsch ridiculed the idea that Germany was without experienced soldiers. Poland proved what Germany had learnt from the Great War. The Allies missed their chance when Germany was engaged in Poland. The majority of the German forces had moved westward and the training and equipment of the troops had been completed. “We shall see who lost the chance of victory.” he said.
