NAVAL BATTLE
BEOUN IN HEAVY STORM OFF THE WEST COAST OF NORWAY. ALLIED & GERMAN FLEETS (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. A message from Paris states that a naval battle between the Allied and German fleets is reported to have begun off the west coast of Norway in a heavy storm. SWEDISH SHIPS ORDERED TO REMAIN IN PORTS. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. The Swedish Government has wirelessed the captains of Swedish ships to remain in harbours where they are loading or unloading or to break their journey at the nearest port.
