Motoring Offences.
The Masterton police intend to take action in the matter of motorists not dimming their lights when passing cyclists. As well as being against the traffic regulations, this practice shows a lack of road courtesy and is a great danger to cyclists. Another point of the law which the police intend to strictly enforce is that all motorists shall dim their lights when passing through Queen Street. Zoo Exhibit Appreciated. An unsolicited tribute to the entertaining ability of Ginger, the young female orang-outang at the Auckland Zoo. was paid by a group of American tourists who visited the zoo. They subsequently informed the curator. Lieutenant-Colonel E. R. Sawer. that they had visited most of the important zoos in the world but had not seen an animal that had interested or amused them more than Ginger.
