FLOUR FOR PALESTINE
SYDNEY WHARF LABOURERS' DECISION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. SYDNEY, April 8. The wharf labourers decided to load flour into the steamer that is loading supplies for the A.I.F. in Palestine, but insisted on taking time off for a smoko. The Federal Minister for Industry (Mr W. M. Hughes) had previously threatened to invoke the licensing provisions of the Transport Workers’ Act if the waterside workers persisted in their refusal to load a ship with flour for the Second A.I.F.
