GREEK STEAMER
MINED OFF THE ENGLISH COAST CHIEF ENGINEER MISSING. TVv’ENTY-NINE MEN LANDED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, April 8. Twenty-nine members of the crew, of whom five were taken to hospital, were landed after an explosion which sank the Greek steamer Okeania, of 4843 tons, off the south-east coast. The chief engineer is missing. The Okeania, which was in ballast from Rotterdam to Buenos Aires, is believed to have been mined.
