ISLAND ERUPTION
IN HAWAIIAN GROUP FLOW OF LAVA TO THE SEA. POPULATION NOT IN DANGER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Dav, 10.30 a.m.) HONOLULU. April 8. The snow-capped Maunaloa Island, of the Hawaiian group, violently erupted early this morning after five years' inactivity, lava flowing to the sea via uninhabited territory. The eruption was spectacular bill not dangerous to tile islanders.
