SEASON’S FINAL MEETING AT SOLWAY HIGH STANDARD SET. GOOD TIMES REGISTERED. The final meeting of the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s greyhound racing season was held at the Solway Showgrounds on Saturday in showery weather. The track was in splendid order and racing of a high standard was witnessed. There was a poor attendance of the public. The tin hare plant operated satisfactorily, there being only one minor breakdown during the afternoon. The outstanding performance of the meeting was the time, 26 seconds, registered by Flash Diamond in the open hurdles, which is considered to be an Australasian record for the 440 yards hurdles. Mungi Taipo also put up a splendid time in the open flat championship to win in 25 l-ssec.
