MASTERTON PILOT WOUNDED. TARANAKI OFFICER KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON. April (>. Pilot Officer Roderick Campbell Mathicson, Hawera, was killed on active service, and Pilot Officer C. R. Wylie, Masterton, was wounded on active service.

Pilot Officer Wylie, whose mother resides in South Road. Masterton, joined up with the R.A.F. in 1938. lie was seriously injured before last Christmas when his plane made a forced landing. On that occasion he was in hospital for two or three months.
