Monro, Lansdowne, left, today to spend a few days with her daughter Mrs. N. Smith. Wellington. A New York cablegram states that the wife of the President, Mrs Roosevelt, has signed a year’s contract to broadcast throughout the nation under the sponsorship of a soap company twice weekly, beginning on April 28. The programme will be similar to the newspaper column she writes at present.
