MASTERTON CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. FIRST RUN ON APRIL 13. The annual meeting of the Masterton Harrier Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall last night. Mr Roy Shaw presided over a poor attendance. The first run of the season was fixed for Saturday. April 13, the official opening run being fixed for April 20. It was decided that for the duration of the war, competition for trophies be suspended The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: Patron. Mr G. Shaw; president. Mr I. D. Cameron: vice-presidents, same as last year; hon secretary, Mr Colin Orr; treasurer Mr C. K. Long; social secretary, Mr A." J. Andrew; auditor, Mr R. Gully; club captain, Mr Roy Shaw; vice-cap-tain, Mr W. M. Sellar; handicapper. Mr C K. Long; hon doctor, Dr J. C. Forsyth; general committee, Messrs R. Gully. R. Wyeth, R. Bell and A. J. Andrew. Time-keeper, same as last year; starters, Messrs Hunter, Keats and Cairns. The delegates to the subcentre, same as last year; trail-layers. Messrs J. J. Hunter and C. Ross; points keeper, lan Shaw; publicity officers, Messrs Long and Orr. KIATERE CLUB. OPENING DAY ARRANGEMENTS. The annual meeting of the Kiatere Club was held last evening, when 16 members and supporters attended. Before commencing the business of the meeting, all present stood for one minute as a mark of respect to the late Mr C. R. Batkin. The annual report and statement of accounts were submitted by the secretary, Mr D. Nelson, and adopted, the financial statement showing the club to be in a very sound position. Nelson; hon treasurer. Mr L. Frances; club captain, Mr W. McDonald; vicecaptain, Mr W. Burns; handicapper. Mr J. Carter; club coaches. Messrs J. Carter and W. McDonald; timekeepers. Messrs W. Ashworth and N. Jacobsen; committee, Messrs D. Nelson, L. Frances. W. McDonald. R. Greeks. C. Summers, W. Burns; hon auditor, Mr G. C. L. Dickel; delegates to harrier sub-committee, Messrs E. H. Opportunity was also taken to elect to the position of honorary life member the former popular secretary, Mr John Burns. It was resolved to hold the official opening run, followed by afternoon lea, at the Epiphany Hall on Saturday. April 27. and a first preliminary run on Saturday. April 13.
