ARTICLES KNITTED LOCALLY. ACKNOWLEDGED BY TOWN CLERK Of the wool distributed at the beginning of March throughout the Wairarapa for knitting, the following knitted articles have been handed in to the Town Clerk, Mr G. T. O’Hara Smith, as secretary, Zone B. Provincial Patriotic Committee, for transmission to the Provincial Patriotic Depot, Wellington: — 18 dozen balaclavas, 16 pairs of air force blue mittens. The following additional knitted articles have been received (from wool supplied by the knitters): —10 pairs knitted sox. 1! dozen balaclavas and 1 scarf. Particular mention should be accorded Mrs Bungate, Fleet Street, who has herself knitted and handed in the following perfectly knitted articles: —13 balaclavas, 5 pairs air force blue mittens, and 4 pairs sox.
