GARDEN FETE

PLUNKET SOCIETY GATHERING AT TINUI. The garden fete held yesterday by the Tinui sub-branch of the Plunket Society on the Tinui Tennis Courts proved a most enjoyable and successful gathering, as the result of which about £3O was raised for the sub-branch’s funds. Beautifully line weather prevailed and it was not surprising that there was a large attendance of district supporters of the movement. Tennis was enjoyed and the several stalls were well patronised. Afternoon tea was served by a ladies’ committee.
