WAIRARAPA COURSING CLUB

TIN HARE MEETING The final tin hare meeting for the season will be held at the Solway Showgrounds next Saturday afternoon, when the Wairarapa championships are to be decided. The main event, the Wairarapt championship, has attracted entries from Dannevirke, Wanganui and Wellington as well as excellent representations from the Wairarapa. No doubt these dog owners are keen to secure possession of the very handsome championship ribbon which goes to the winner of this particular event, and to get a leg in on the Wairarapa Ice Cream Co. Challenge Cup. A similar ribbon goes to the winner of the championship hurdles. Recent furthei trials have been held and the plant completely overhauled. This together with the excellent condition of the turf sets the stage for a first class meeting, before the winter coursing season opens al the Akura Plumpton on April 27.
