"In a world where propaganda usurps much of education's place one cannot afford to take the ideas of democracy for granted in the battle of ideas which is being fought throughout the world," he said. “Deception and camouflage have been developed to an art as great as war. Words and slogans replace guns, and those who would divest man of every human freedom divert his fears and suspicions with words of false security.
