SUPPORT FOR MR. LEE
IN GREY LYNN ELECTORATE. CRITICISM OF CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 2.. The attitude of delegates from the Grey Lynn electorate to ; the Easter conference of the Labour Party was outlined today by Mr Norman Douglas, president of the Grey Lynn branch and himself a delegate. Mr Douglas said he had been authorised by all delegates of the Grey Lynn, Point Chevalier and Westmere branches, all within the electorate, to say that they intended to report To their branches their complete confidence in Mr. J. A. Lee, member for Grey Lynn. In the opinion of delegates, said Mr Douglas, Mr. Lee had been disciplined for fighting for the democratic control of the Labour Party. “We want a Labour member to fight for Labour’s policy and not be a ‘yes man,’ ” said Mr. Douglas.
