LATE PRIME MINISTER
BOROUGH COUNCIL’S EXPRESSION GF SYMPATHY. ACKNOWLEDGED BY MR. FRASER. An acknowledgment of the Masterton Borough Council’s expression of sympathy with the Government in the loss of the late Prime Minister has been received by the Town Clerk, Mr. G. T. O’Hara Smith, from the Hon. P. Fraser, who sent the following telegram:— “My colleagues join with me in thanking your members for their expressions of sympathy in the great loss which the Government has sustained by the death of Mr. Savage. Knowing how richly he deserved them, it- is with the deepest appreciation that we read such tributes as that paid to him by your council.” .
