ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS ipYAL HEART OF OAK LODGE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The fortnightly meeting of Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge was held last evening - , P.G. Bro C. E. White presiding in the absence of the N.G. Sick pay amounting to £l2 10s and other accounts amounting to £7 8s ltd were passed for payment. Advice was received that the Loyal Masterton Lodge would not contest the ritual shield this term, consequently the trophy goes by default to the Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge. The agenda papei - for the special conference of the New Zealand branch to be held in Wellington on May 1 for the purpose of considering a War Members’ Relief Fund for the payment of members' management contributions to the extent of 10s per year and full society funeral funds and the reserve portion of sickness contribution of all “serving members” was received. It was stated that “serving member” shall mean a member of the society who serves his Majesty in any of the armed forces of the Empire, either within or beyond New Zealand, for the duration of the present war and 12 months thereafter. This and other clauses will be discussed by members at the conference and finality arrived at before the conference rises. Discussion arose regarding presentations to members of the lodge who enlisted and went overseas for service. The following notice of motion was tabled by P.G. Bro C. E. White and will be considered at the quarterly meeting in May: “That a levy of 3d per member per quarter be made for the duration of the war for the purpose of making provision for presentations to members on active service going overseas and that such monies be lodged in the social fund of the lodge and earmarked for the purpose above mentioned.” Miniature Rifles Club. >. The annual general meeting of Carterton Miniature Rifle Club members :\ivill be held in the Foresters’ Hall tonight at 8 o’clock and it is anticipated that there will be a large attendance. A Pirinoa Success. The Hadley Cup and Mr. Jock McKenzie’s trophy at the Carterton Gun Club’s meeting on Saturday, was won bv Mr. Arthur Warren (Pirinoa).
