IRON ORE

CONSIGNMENTS TO GERMANY VIA NARVIK. THE NORWEGIAN VIEWPOINT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 11.35 a.m.) LONDON. April 1. Authoritative Norwegian sources, in a statement, said the export of Swedish iron ore via Nai’vik, to Germany since lhe outbreak of war amounted to only a fraction of its peace time volume. The closing of Narvik would not necessarily result in any essential decrease ns the greater part can be shipped from Lulea and other Swedish ports. Moreover, it should be remembered that shipments of Swedish iron ore via Narvik to Britain had increased since December compared with the same period pf last year.
