A message from Albany reports that Governor Lehman signed a Bill legalising parimutuel (totalisator) betting and outlawing bookmakers throughout the whole Stale. The measure is estimated to yield 5,000.000 dollars revenue annually. The Bill makes eftive a constitutional amendment approved last year. Il provides for a 10 per cent tax on all bets, equal proportions going to the State and to racing associations.
