RECRUITING MEETING
COUNCIL’S CONGRATULATIONS. Congratulations on the recruiting meeting held in Masterton recently have been expressed to the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan by Mr E. Kelley, secretary of the National Recruiting Council. “On behalf of the National Recruiting Council,” the letter from the secretary states, “I wish to extend their congratulations and personal appreciation of the very excellent recruiting meeting held in Masterton on March 15. The Press reports indicate that a vast amount of organisation was successfully accomplished, and that you were rewarded by a large attendance of the public. It is practicularly pleasing to note that the National Military Reserve and Territorials took part in the proceedings, and the committee desires to convey to them, and to all others who are associated with .you their deep appreciation.”
