Joo Louis beat Paycheck on a tcchical knockout in the second round- of a heavyweight boxing contest at Madison Square Garden before a crowd of 20.000. Louis weighed in at 2001 pounds and Paycheck at 187.?. The crowd booed the hollow challenge. which lasted 3min 44scc. Louis dropped Paycheck three times in the first, round, twice with rights and once with a double-hander. In the second round Louis stalked the retreating challenger, landed a loft, then smashed a long and terrific l ight to the chin, lifting Paycheck into the air. He collapsed flat on his back in a corner. The referee stopped counting al four and awarded the decision to Louis. Sports writers agree that Louis has regained his "killer form." They suggest Paycheck was scared, mid say no landed only two blows. Paycheck said. "1 remembered nothing after the first right." Louis said. "It was jus! a vacation."
