SALE EY UNITED STATES TO ALLIES. WAR SECRETARY DEFENDS POLICY. Bi' Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day. 9.25 a.m.) WASHINGTON. March 27. The War Secretary, Mr H. H. Woodring. giving evidence before a committee said the United States had possibly six types of aircraft superior to any in the world. He continued: "The policy of release for foreign sale of the most modern designs will be liberalised, to stimulate productive capacity and ensure improved types for the United States forces. Each case will be decided on its merits and foreign Governments must agree to furnish us with full ininformation of combat performance."
Mr Woodring added that he expected that several hundred hundred reserve planes, at present being built for the United States army, would be sold for immediate delivery to the Allies .
