HASTWELLS
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Hastwells Institute held in the Hastwells Hall, Mrs. A. V. Madsen presided over a moderate attendance of members. The meeting opened with the "Ode to Friendship,” followed by the Aspirations and Prayer for Peace. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs. Madsen; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames J. Dick and V. Caseley: secretary. Miss O. Halberg; treasurer, Mrs. K. Ngatuere; Press correspondent, Miss A. Dick; committee. Mesdames V. Caseley. J. Dick, C. Seymour and officers ex officio. The presentation of a beautiful crystal vase was made to Miss A. Dick. The hostesses were Misses H. and I. Madsen.
A piece of birthday cake was sent to each member of the Institute who was unable to be present at the recent birthday gathering. The singing of the National Anthem brought the meeting to a close.
