TANKER SUNK
CAPTAIN & THREE MEN DROWNED SIXTEEN OTHERS RESCUED. OVERDUE SHIP PRESUMED LOST. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 11.0 a.m.) LONDON. March 27. The British oil tanker Daghestan, of 5742 tons, was sunk in the North Sea. The captain and three members of the crew were drowned when a boat overturned. Another 16 men were picked up and landed at a Scottish port. The British steamer Castlemoor, 6754 tons, is overdue, and is persumed to have been lost with all hands.
NORWEGIAN VESSEL TORPEDOED OFF ORKNEYS. (Received This Day. 11.35 a.m.) BERGEN, March 27. The Norwegian vessel Cometa. 3794 tons, wos torpedoed off the Orkneys. The crew was rescued.
