MAN KILLED
MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT AT KAIPARORO
MACHINE UNABLE TO TAKE EEND. MARKS ON THE HIGHWAY. A man named James William Hargart. single, aged about 29 years, a resident of 17 Cuba Street, Lower Hutt, and a painter by trade, lost his life on the main highway at Kaiparoro when the motor-cycle he was riding was apparently unable to take a bend in the road. The victim of the accident was found at 7 o’clock this morning. where he had apparently been since 7 o’clock the previous morning. Death appeared to have been instantaneous. Mr 'Hargart set out early yesterday morning for Norsewood to visit relatives and friends and to carry out a small painting" job. Judging by the marks on the road, he braked on approaching a bad bend in the highway but was unable to negotiate the bend and the cycle ran off on to the side of the road and down an embankment. No one saw the accident and as the machine and its rider were hidden by fern and grass the mishap was not discovered until tins morning. An inquest is being held this afternoon.
