MEETING OF MASTERTON CLUB LOAN MADE TO GOVERNMENT. DISTRICT JUDGING TEAMS ; The executive committee of the Masterton Young Farmers' Club met in the ,rcfflfiTiiSx Farmers' Rooms last night. >gffllllllllllllllllfec Mr J. S. Mackay was in the c hair. A programme for the WFJXdZ c tX n speakers, moving pictures and debating contests. It was decided to make a loan of £lO to the Government, interest free, for the duration of the war. The district debating contest was fixed for April 18. at the Solway Showgrounds. to be followed by a dance in lhe evening. The annual dance was fixed for August 22. It was decided to hold short talks for the Falloon Cup next December. The following teams were appointed for the district judging on April 18:— Clydesdales, G. Blatchforcl and O. Wyeth; Romneys. A. P. Southey and J. S. Mackay; Southdowns. H. Bannister and D. McLachlan; baconer pigs, W. Benson and W. Ireland; Jerseys. H. Miller and E. Henderson; beef cattle. K. McGillivray and F. Stowell.
