CROQUET

TOURNAMENT AT MASTERTON. A very successful tournament was held at the Masterton Park lawns yesterday in aid of the funds of the Wairarapa Croquet Association. In halfhour croquet competition Miss Esma Card had the top score in the A grade, Mrs Doggett being 2nd; lowest score, Miss Eva Card. In the B grade players Mrs B. Thompson was first and Mrs Dagg second; lowest score, Mrs A. Donald. Next, higest score. Mrs G. Scrivener. Before asking Mrs Wakely (president of the association) to present the trophies. Mrs Polson, on behalf of the Park Club, thanked lhe players for having made the tourney such a success, and also members of her own club for their willing help.

Mrs Wakely thanked the Park Club for holding the tournament which was such a financial success. She then presented the trophies to the winners. On the call of Mrs Wakely cheers were given for the Masterton Park Club.
