PRE-WEDDING PARTIES
MISS K. CAIRNS GUEST OF HONOUR. Miss Kitty Cairns, who is shortly to be married to Mr J. Patrick, has been the guest of honour at several delightful parties. Recently, Mrs R. Church was hostess at a “bathroom evening” held at her home, the time being spent in games and competitions. Miss W. Reid kindly obliged the company with a. recitation.
Mesdames N. Jones and A. Miller entertained a large number of guests at a "kitchen evening” in the Orange Hall. A most enjoyable time was spent in dancing and Mr E. Grantham contributed very entertaining items. Mrs R. Kilmister and Miss M. Dwyer were hostesses at a “pantry evening” held at the latter’s home, some very useful presents being received by the bride-to-be.
Mrs C. Chapman, entertained several friends at a gift afternoon at her home in Renall Street. The programme consisted of games and competitions.
