HOLIDAY CRICKET

WAIRARAPA V. THE REST MATCH AT MASTERTON. Holiday cricket was enjoyed on Saturday when a match was played between the Wairarapa representatives selected to play in Wellington during Easter and The Rest. The game provided a good practice for the representative team, which batted from 2 to 4 p.m. and The Rest followed until 6 p.m. A time limit was set to the batting and the representative team made 145, the scores being fairly even. Osborne replaced Patrick in this team. The Rest, included in which team were seven schoolboys, put on. 174. The best knock of the day was that of Stevens, for The Rest, who, with very pretty cricket, made 74 not out. All members of the teams had a chance at bowling.
