RUGBY. March 16.

Tn view of the difficulties of ploughing operations under the unfavourable weather conditions of the past winter, the Minister of Agriculture announced an extension from March 31 to April 30 of the period for grants originally offered to farmers by the Government for ploughing fresh land to increase home food production in wartime, thus releasing merchant shipping tonnage for other purposes.
