Opposition was experienced from enemy fighters and anti-aircraft ground defences. Our -aircraft completed their tasks and returned safely.” Berlin states that the German air force reconnoitred eastern France and the entire North Sea. and attacked British patrol boats, sinking one and damaging another. There is no confirmation in London of this claim. A message from Prague says that last night’s anniversary celebrations in Prague, officially marking the formation of the Czech protectorate, ended with a sudden blackout, presumably owing to a visit by British airmen.
