EASING IN SHEEP VALUES. OVER-SUPPLY OF FAT CATTLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 13. At the Addington market today another heavy entry of breeding ewes mot with a changed market from that of last week, there being a particularly free sale. Today, except for strongwoolled ewes, the progressive advances of last week's fairs were lost, particularly those for old, fine-woolled ewes, which were most difficult to quit. The lack of rain and the increasing scarcity of feed are preventing farmers from operating. The best two-tooth Chatham Island Romneys made to 38s. Local fine-woolled s.m. ewes made to 14s Gd with many pens of older sorts at from 5s to 7s. Passings were heavy. Fat sheep were in over-supply. The best sorts changed little in value, but export ewes were down by Is 6d, company buyers operating restrictedly. Good prime wethers made from 25s to 28s, with the tops going to 31s 6d. Good ewes made 21s to 23s Gd, with the tops going at 265, and export ewes from Ils to 14s. The penning comprised 7500 head. Fat cattle were in over-supply. 620 being penned and most were of a very ordinary class. Prices for good cattle were back by up to 15s a head, and all others by more than 20s. Good steers made from .£l4 to £IG. with the tops going to £l7 10s, mediums from'.£l2 10s to £l3 10s, and light sorts down to £8 10s. The best of the heifers sold at from £9 10s to £l2. and of the cows at from £9 to £lO 10s. with the tops going to £l4, and the light and poorconditioned sorts, which were forward in large numbers, at from £4 15s to £6.

An improvement of 2s 6d a head on the values of last week's sale was shown for porkers. Vallies today ranged from £1 19s Gd to £3 Is Gd, an average price a lb. of to 74d a lb. Baconers made £3 2s Gd to £4 18s Gd. an average price a lb. of 6:;d to 7.|d.
