PETROL COUPONS
MARCH ISSUE AVAILABLE ONLY THIS MONTH.

WELLINGTON, This Day.
Though April petrol coupons may be used during March, the present month's coupons have currency only till the end of the month, stated the Minister of Supply, Mr Sullivan, last evening.
"A number of people have asked whether they can keep the March coupons and use them during April." said Mr Sullivan. "Till we have obtained a more accurate index of seasonal demand, I am afraid we will not be able to consider the accumulation of coupons. Arrangements to anticipate petrol rations from next month were made solely because of the Easter holidays and the final leave of the Second Echelon. When we are able to gauge our demand satisfactorily in advance, we shall be in a position to consider proposals regarding saving coupons in special cases.”
