GIFT EVENINGS

RECENT SOCIAL GATHERINGS. Miss Marjorie McKay was the hostess at a gift evening held at her home on Saturday evening in honour of Miss Joan Hatch, whose marriage to Mr. James Welch takes place next Saturday evening. Many amusing games and competitions were played and after supper had been served the guests of honour were called upon to open their parcels. Mr. Welch acknowledged the gifts in a happy speech. Another pleasant evening was held at the home of Mrs. Alan Keir. when girl friends of Miss Joan Long spent a happy evening together. After supper the bride-to-be opened her many gifts.
