Mr and Mrs R. Graham, Te Puke, were at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, yesterday. Mrs W. F. Airey, Wellington, stayed at the Hotel Midland, Masterton, yesterday. Miss M. Anderson and Miss A. Anderson, Eketahuna. stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel yesterday. Mrs T. R. Lawson, Wellington, was a guest at the Hotel Midland, Masterton, yesterday.
Mr W. Munro anu Mrs Munro, Invercargill, were guests at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, yesterday.
Mr and Mrs Henderson, Auckland, were among the guests at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. yesterday.
Mr and Mrs ,F. M. Reynolds, Lansdowne, have returned to Masterton from a tour of the Bay of Plenty and .Auckland districts.
Claiming to have lived longer in the Hastings district than anyone else. Mrs G. E. Lee, of 409 Eastbourne Street. Hastings, has forwarded her name for Inclusion in’the old identities' list prepared by the. Hastings Council. There are now five people living in the district who have been 90 or more years resident in. New Zealand. Mrs Lee was born in 1842 and came to New Zealand when a year old. Iler period of residence in New Zealand is 97 years, which is three years longer than that of Mrs M. A. Jarvis, of 501 Queen Street, who, however, can still claim to be 'the oldest New Zealand-born resident in the district.
