PARK CLUE COMPETITIONS. CONTEST FOR KEANE TROPHY. Now that the Park Bowling Club s championship matches have been completed the only competition games still to be played are the handicap singles for the Thompson Cup. In the latest match of this series Smith defeated Dagg 26/19. In a match for the Crafts Medals the holders. Post and Telegraph (Ferguson. Butler. Burke. Kilgour) were defeated by the Technicians (Simpson. Brown. Fenton. Wilder) 22/9. Featherston. Lyall Bay and Park clubs met at Lyall Bay during the weekend in the second and final games for the Keane Trophy. The weather was fine and the usual hospitable and ■friendly atmosphere associated with these games was very much in evidence. Featherston succeeded in retaining the trophy with six wins to five scored by Lyall Bay and one by Park. Speeches appropriate to the' occasion were made by Mr F. Keane and the three club'presidents.
