TALKS IN EUROPE
VON RIBBENTROP GETTING IN THE WAV NEW INSTRUCTIONS SOUGHT FROM HITLER. FORMAL COMMUNIQUE ISSUED IN ROME. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, March 11. The cross-currents of diplomatic and military endeavours throughout Europe are, it is believed, hampered by Herr von Ribbentrop’s Rome discussions. Herr von Ribbentrop repeatedly telephoned Herr Hitler for new instructions. An Italian communique merely recorded that Herr von Ribbentrop; in the presence of Count Ciano and Count von Mackensen. cordially talked with the Duce for ninety minutes regarding the international situation, the talk being in the spirit of the framework of the German-Italian pact of alliance and existing agreements.
