COMBINED PICNIC LIST OF RACE RESULTS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The combined picnic of the Te Wharau School and the Correspondence School children was held recently on Mr Read’s property, kindly lent for the occasion. The day was ideal, there being a large attendance of residents. The results of the races were as follow: — Children’s races:—First event: John Tatham 1, Ann Tatham 2; second event, Richard Foreman 1, June Trethewey 2; third event, Dorothy Trethewey 1, John Bannister 2; three-legged race, Alex and Rae Bannister 1. John Tatham and Thelma Bannister 2; first hurdle race, Dorothy Trethewey 1, Alex Bannister 2; second hurdle race, Rae Bannister 1, Charlie Bannister 2; Ihird hurdle race, Richard Foreman 1, June Trethewey 2; fourth hurdle race, Ann Tatham 1. Kay Tatham 2; high .lump, Dorothy Tretheway 1, Frank Colter 2.
Young ladies' race, Dorothy Trethe-wc-y 1, Elfie Bannister 2; young ladies’ hurdle race, Elfie Bannister 1, Miss Saville 2; young men’s race, Fred McKinstry 1. John Laing 2; married ladies’ race. Mrs Tatham 1. Mrs Foreman 2; married men's race, F. Tatham 1. R. McKinstry 2; ladies' nail driving. Mrs Gulbraith; men's nail driving. Mr Trethewey. ■
