GREYTOWN
TRUST LANDS TRUST MONTHLY MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Greytown Trust Lands Trust was held on Thursday evening. In the absence of the chairman, Mr H. G. Carter, Mr F. Dennes presided. Also present were Messrs J. W. Barnard, W. H. Day, H. Walden and the secretary, Mr B. Kiernan. An apology for absence was received from Mr H. J. Nightingale. The secretary submitted a statement of investments and outstanding rents. Accounts passed amounted to £7 7s 4d. It was decided to ask the contractor to commence the concreting of the paths at the Trust houses immediately. The planting of trees in the section adjoining the Hospital is to be commenced this season if the trees can be procured. The broom and gorse is to be cleared immediately. BOWLING MATCH FOR GOLD BARS. Owing to W. Kilgour being indisposed H. G. Carter played lead and G. Brunton skip in the game for the Gold Bars. Brunton played a fine game, his drawing and driving giving Dennes and Shedden no chance. The next pair to play are Nightingale and Higgison. Higgison has been playing great bowls this year but he will have to be all out in this game, as Brunton is also in great form. Personal. Mr and Mrs H. Keltic are leaving for Wellington tomorrow on a holiday. The Mayor, Nir A. W. Horton, returned to Greytown yesterday. Methodist Picnic. The Greytown Methodist Sunday School picnic is being held in the Memorial Park today. Exhibition Visit. The pupils of the Secondary Department of the Greytown District High School left by bus early this morning on a visit to the Exhibition.
