ANNUAL MEETING BEING HELD IN FINE WEATHER GOOD SPORT ENJOYED BY LARGE CROWD. GALTEEMORE WINS THE CUP. Beautifully fine weather prevails today for the annual mooting of the Carterton Racing Club. The course is in good order and there is a large attendance. Results up tn the time of going lo press are:— MAIDEN PLATE: six furlongs. 1„ Authoress (P. Atkins). 8.12 1 7, Batsham (J. Authoress jumped out at the start and led all the way. At the start she was followed by Balgowlah. Locrian, Maharajah and Tractometer. At. the, half-mile post the order was: Authoress, Batsham (moving up fast), Tractometer, Locrian (also moving up fast). Balgowlah, Rose Mimetic. Lady Govern. Coming down the straight. Kehua had headed the field, followed by Dark Water with Ruling Star moving up fast. Gallecmore showed up at the start, followed by Trebor. Dainty Sue, Good Son, Siegmund and Tooley Street. Dainty Sue cased up when half the distance had been covered and Galteerr.ore won by a good margin from Trebor. though Siegmund finished fast to secure third place.
