FORMATION IN COMMONWEALTH PROPOSED Fusion of United Australian and Country Parties MR CAMERON TO BECOME DEPUTY-PREMIER PARLIAMENTARY MAJORITY ASSURED A Coalition Government is to be formed in Australia, a Daventry message reports. The Prime Minister Air Menzies, who is leader of the United Australia Party, has reached an agreement with the United Country Party alter ft long discussion with Mr Cameron, its leader, who is to become DeputyPrime Minister. The Country Party is to have three portfolios and two honorary portfolios in the re-formed Cabinet. Mr Menzies reserved the right, to nominate Ministers, but he has promised the fullest consultation with Air Cameron. This fusion will give the Coalition Government a clear majority in the Federal Parliament. Last April the Country Party, then led by Sir Earle Page, refused to take part in a coalition if Mr Menzies were appointed to succeed Mr Lyons as Prime Minister. Since then Mr Cameron has been appointed leader of the Country Party.
