THE WELFARE FUND APPEAL. AUCTION OF ACHILLES PICTURE. All arrangements are well in hand for the campaign to be conducted locally on behalf of the Fighting Services Welfare Fund and a start will be made by the collectors tomorrow. It is now expected that the auctioning of a framed photograph of H.M.S. Achilles will take place at tlie recruiting rally in Masterton on the evening of Friday, March 15. The sale of post card reproductions of the picture will be put in hand shortly. TEN GUINEAS DONATION. FROM WAIRARAPA R.S.A. The Wairarapa R.S.A. has opened the appeal with a donation of lOgns. from the general funds.
