WORKMEN’S FRIEND NO. 2. TRIBUTE TO LATE MR HUNN. Mr W. Kemp (vice-chairman) presided over the monthly meeting last right of directors of -(he ‘Workmen's Friend No. 2. Also present were: Messrs T. B. Braggins, A. V. Dixon, E. H. Morton. C. W. Walker and E. J. Brown. Apologies for .absence were read from Messrs Hubbard "and Jackson. Mr Kemp referred feelinglj’ to the death of the late Mr F. J. Hunn, chairman of directors for many’ years, and one of the first directors of the society. Mr Kemp said the late Mr Hunn was a man of sterling character, a great humanitarian and a man of justice in. every way. He moved that a letter be written expressing the sympathy of the directors with the family in their bereavement. Mr Braggins, seconding the motion, endorsed the remarks of Mr Kemp and Messrs Brown and Morton spoke also in sympathetic terms. The motion was carried, all present standing in silence. Only routine business was transacted and the meeting adjourned as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mr Hunn.
