BOYS’ SWIMMING

WAIRARAPA COLLEGE SPORTS FOUR RECORDS BROKEN. PRESENT PUPILS BEAT PAST. After 'two postponements the Wairarapa College held its boys’ swimming sports yesterday in beautiful weather. The entries were good, and the programme was dispatched expeditiously. The relays and old boys’ race evoked the usual enthusiasm from team supporters, as did the announcement that four records had been broken in the junior and intermediate sections. R. Major, the winner of the intermediate championship set a new record of 43 3-ssec, the previous time being 46sec. Major also equalled the 20scc record in the 33 l-3yds.
