FEATHERSTON
CRICKET MARTINBOROUGH DEFEATED. (“Times-Age” Special.) Playing on the local ground on Sunday. Martinborough were the first to take the field in a match with Featherston, making a score of 124. Featherston replied with the small score of 60. In their second innings, Martinborough made 91. Featherston then got to work properly and knocked up 155 for 5 wickets, thus winning the game. Personal. Mrs H. R. Bloxam and Miss Bloxam, who have been visiting Christchurch, returned home on Saturday. Chief Petty Officer L. Hood. D.S.M.. and Mrs Hood are visiting Mr and Mrs F. S. Hood. Kahutara. Mrs V. Styles, Seatoun Heights, Wellington, is visiting her father, Mr T. Tidswell, for a few days.
