ANOTHER OUTRAGE
DUTCH COASTER BOMBED AND SUNK. CREW MACHINE-GUNNED. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, March 4. A German plane bombed and mach-ine-gunned the Elziena. Three survivors, two of whom were injured, were rescued after 36 hours’ drifting on a raft. The captain and engineer were killed when a bomb scored a direct hit. The Elziena is the first Dutch coaster to be sunk from the air.
